James Knight of Mayfair was established by James Arthur Knight nearly 100 years ago. Initially a retail fishmonger, the company grew an unrivalled reputation as a premier supplier to the burgeoning hotel industry.

Notable amongst James Knight of Mayfair’s earliest clients was the famous chef Auguste Escoffier: “Reliable fresh quality supplies are the secret to successful fish dishes”

In the 1990’s James Knight of Mayfair was awarded two Royal Warrants: the only fishmonger to achieve this accolade.
